Present Technology

MECHANICAL(MULTIJET) METER

  • Contains a turbine or impeller that spins as water flows through it. The rotation of the turbine is proportional to Flow rate of water
  • Consist of moving parts, Wear and tear over time which effects change in accuracy
  • Starting flow approx. 5-10 l/h
  • Dynamic flow range usually R80-R160 (low accuracy in measurement)
  • Air is also counted
  • No alarms available (leakage, tampering, No water , pipe burst)
  • Only horizontal mounting possible which at times result in meter submerging in water during rains
  • Causing pressure drop due to flow obstruction
  • Periodic maintenance required
